Dejex Supplies supports SOUTH HOLLAND SCHOOLS HYACINTH GROWING COMPETITION 2011.

Dejex Supplies has continued its’ support for the South Holland Schools Hyacinth Growing Competition by again donating over a 1000 9cm SOPARCO Duo pots providing the areas children with the opportunity to get some hands-on growing experience.

This year’s competition attracted over 1400 entries with more than 20 schools participating. The winners were St. Norbert’s Primary School, receiving the Lingarden Trophy plus a book token prize of £25.

The competition is a joint initiative between the NFU, South Holland Horticultural Association and Springfields Horticultural Society and aims to give children the experience of growing bulbs whilst also enjoying the competitive spirit of their efforts going on display under official and public scrutiny, as well as the chance of winning a trophy prize for their school.

You can go along to see this year’s efforts on the 10-13^th February 2011 where entries will be displayed in a specially constructed flowerbed in the main shopping centre at Springfields.
